Logos & Dropmarks

The DigitalChalk logo was influenced by three ideas. First, the colors red, green, and blue convey the concept of video. Second, the chalk conveys learning. And third, the writing (or dust) from the chalk conveys digital blocks.

Main Logo

The DigitalChalk colors are generally incompatible with mid to dark backgrounds. Therefore, we use the color mark whenever the background is light enough to exhibit the red, green, and blue colors. Moreover, there should be no imagery behind the logo when it is used in color.

When the full color Main Logo is not preferred, unclear, or difficult to read, a few variations are allowed.

Drop Mark

The rules for the Main Logo also apply for the Drop Mark.

Spacing & Placement

Make sure there is plenty of space around the logo—at least the height of the “digitalchalk” on all sides.

Use the height of the DigitalChalk name (without the overhang of letters) for your measurement.
When possible, left align the “D” in DigitalChalk instead of the left side of the chalk dust.
